About me

Who am I – that is the question.
This might look like a new blog but seriously, it isn’t.

My name’s Roula and apart from being A Serial Blogger, I’m mainly a teacher of English. I tried escaping my teaching fate a couple of times but teaching is my true nature and after 28 years of it I can finally declare myself to be a teacher.

Now that I’ve introduced myself, i think I’m allowed to some mumbling, aren’t I?

I’ve been blogging since 2011 with my first blog being one about Samsung as I was an international Brand Ambassador for the company back then. A wonderful experience that paved the way for many of the things I did later on in my life. Then came a lifestyle blog called Pretty n’ Yummy which I created with my wonderful friend Yiota who we also ran La Gréce J’aime with. Oh, La Gréce J’aime! A project I so much believed in until I ran out of funds to support it and had to give up. MobilerIAm, Pretty n’ Yummy, La Gréce J’aime that makes three blogs, one where I write about a hairsalon group of companies and the one I made for my students called 4 the Love of English and here I am a “blogger of five”!

Years went by and my teaching job was getting better and less and less time could be devoted to any of the above but the main problem was that I was confused. So damn confused by all those digital experts saying “Your blog should have a niche or it won’t be successful. Find your niche and then start your blog”. Can you believe a person who already had five blogs fell for that? Well, I did. I did so much that I even felt there was something wrong with me not being able to focus on one thing.

I took some photography lessons because I missed taking photos for Pretty n’ Yummy. Attended a Fashion Design course because I missed La Gréce J’aime fashion shootings, attended every possible seminar held in Greece on teaching English trying to focus on my job and then one day I realised I’m a multi-faceted person and can’t ‘contain’ myself into a niche! It’s wrong trying to change what can’t be changed. It’s wrong trying to escape ourselves. Being who we are is liberating and here I am, A Serial Blogger accepting all my different sides.

See you around!
